Potato Chips in the...Microwave!!
Please allow me to post yet another potato recipe and tip. I was a little skeptical about this one so of course, I HAD to test it out myself. Get a potato, any kind you like, even sweet ones, and very thinly slice the potato. If you have one of those mandolines, even better. I just used a knife. Lay the potato slices on a microwave safe plate sprayed w/a tad of cooking spray and sprinkle the slices w/some sea or kosher salt. Microwave for 2-3 minutes. Flip over the slices and microwave for another 2-3 minutes. Allow to cool, and voila! you get some pretty healthy and crispy potato chips! Who would've thunk it?!

Re: Potato Chips in the...Microwave!!
Interesting!! I actually got the trays for microwaving chips and never used them thinking it wouldn't be so good. Maybe I will try it now.

You can put like a teaspoon (or more) of olive oil on the 'taters prior to nuking them. I didn't do that though and I still enjoyed them. Hope you guys like!

Not bad!
Kinda slow going... I could only make half a dozen at a time, and it took about five minutes each time. I used just a dinner plate and laid out one level of 'em at a time.
Very tasty and I like controlling the contents!
