Charcuterie Platter
This past Sunday night I hosted a Wine Tasting Party at my home. The first course was a Charcuterie platter. For those unfamiliar with what this is, Charcuterie comes from the French and refers to cooked, cured or smoke meats such as bacon, ham, sausage, and pates. I served 3 different meats for my plate--two types of salamis and a Coppa which is similar to prosciutto. I also served homemade chicken liver pate, hummus, fresh fruits, nuts, gherkins, dried fruits, crackers, bread and several cheeses. For this course, I served a lovely Chardonnay from Chile.
It was so much fun putting this platter all together and here's what the finished product looked like:

A crusty baguette slices, breadsticks and crackers that contain nuts and seeds are great choices.
