Easy Sweet & Savory Korean Chicken and Rice
Not really an original recipe but I made this tonight cuz I had chicken breasts and didn't know what to make. Thought of the marinade recipe http://tastetestedrecipes.com/showth...eef-Short-Ribs and used it for the sauce. Turned out good and was super easy so I thought I would share.
2 boneless skinless chicken breast cut into bite sized pieces
salt and pepper
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoons sesame oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
6 scallions, chopped
couple dashes of cayenne pepper
*Put the corn starch, salt, pepper and cayenne in a bag and tossed the chicken pieces in it real fast.
*Brown the chicken over med high heat for a few minutes.
*When done add in the sauce and simmer for a couple more minutes.
*I served this over white rice with broccoli and it was perfect. Just thought I would share.
