    Crescent Breakfast Pockets!

    Crescent Breakfast Pockets!

After seeing the hot pocket thread and some of the "convenience" breakfast items in there, I thought I'd share our favorite grab and go breakfast. I make these in bulk and have them ready to grab. I heat them in the panini press and my S/O uses the microwave and they taste good either way. We think they hold up better than breakfast burritos or sandwiches when made in bulk and stored. I'm working on perfecting my homemade crescent dough but until then the premade works just fine!

They're exactly what they sound like! Unroll a can of crescents (I like trader joes brand, nothing creepy in there) and split into rectangles, each one containing two crescents. You should get four rectangles per (trader joes) can. Add cooked breakfast meat of choice, cheese, scrambled eggs, and whatever else you like on top of one rectangle then add another on top and pinch closed, creating the pocket. I cut a little slit to vent steam. Bake at 350 until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Package in ziplocs or foil, and either freeze or refrigerate depending on when you're planning to eat them!

I'm making a big batch now!

Also I'm sorry for the horrible photo quality, for some reason tapatalk hates my iPhone photos!

Those look good! I have yet to try the crescent rolls from TJ's, I usually grab the one with the cute dough boy on the can

You can get pretty creative with the recipe you created; even adding some cooked hash browns and some baby spinach maybe?
