This is probably one of the easiest and most delicious things I make according to my family of six!

All I do is buy a loaf of any big fluffy bread at the store, I really like the ones with herbs on the crust especially- but any will do. Don't get the pre-buttered stuff that is too greasy and usually a poor blend of herbs.

Cut the bread into 3/4 inch slices. Hold bread gently and rotate knife back and forth slowly so you do not squish the bread.

Butter each slice with softened butter or do it the easy way with Parkay Squeeze LOL

Sprinkle each piece with garlic salt and Italian seasoning.

Broil in the oven for approx. 5 mins-- just watch to not over do it.

I made this recipe when Jeannie and Becky were over for lunch on Saturday. The only thing I did different was chopped up two cloves of garlic really fine and spread that on the bread, along w/garlic powder, and butter.
The first batch i made I burned however b/c i left it on for 10min in broil w/out watching it! i tossed those aside and redid it, and they turned out really delicious. I will be making these again and again.
