    Cheesy Hamburger and Potato Casserole

    I always have potatoes to use up so I found this recipe and tried it, it was very good!

    1 lb ground beef
    2 cups potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced (I used the gold potatoes, and I did not peel them)
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 cup onions, chopped
    3/4 cup milk
    2 cups cheddar cheese
    salt and pepper

    Brown ground beef and drain off excess fat.

    In medium bowl combine soup, onion, milk and desired amount of salt and pepper.

    In a 2 quart baking dish layer potatoes, then 1/2 of soup mixture, 1/2 of meat, 1/2 of cheese, then repeat.

    Bake, COVERED, at 350 degrees for 1 to 1.5 hours, until potatoes are tender. Let stand for 10 minutes when removing from oven before serving.
