SoCo Balls (Like Rum Balls, only better)
I've had this recipe so long that it is in an old text format! Snagged it off the internet back when the internet was just text, accessed by a BBS and dia-lup modem! LOL! Been a while...
Southern Comfort Balls! Recipe
Ingredients
* 3 tbsps light Karo syrup .
* 2 1/3 tbsps dark cocoa, Special dark .
* 3 c vanilla wafers, crushed .
* powdered sugar, for coating the cookies .
* 3/4 c Southern Comfort .
* 1 c pecans, sliced fine .
* 1 c powdered sugar
* colored crystal sugar, for coating the cookies
Directions
* Step #1 Place wafers & pecans in food processor/blender & and
pulse till crumbly.
* Step #2 Add the next 4 ingredients & pulse till smooth.
* Step #3 Shape into balls about 1" in diameter.
* Step #4 Using wet hands & cool kitchen so they don`t stick & for
easy handling.
* Step #5 Roll in powdered sugar or crystal sugar & chill in the fridge.
* Step #6 Or if this method works for you try keeping finger & palms
dusted with sugar while shaping cookies.
* Enjoy!Last edited by LariP; 01-20-2013 at 06:54 PM.

Re: SoCo Balls (Like Rum Balls, only better)
One year, I went all out and cooked, baked, etc. Sending things off in fancy little tins with ribbon and fluff... and when the Ex took everything to the post office to mail them off -- he "stopped off & bought presents to add to the gifts since home-baked things aren't 'real gifts.'"
That was kinda the one & only time I sent off home baked presents.
These SoCo balls are made -- and live in my fridge. For my enjoyment only.LOL! But its OK since I LOVE them!
