Pork Chops in White Wine Gravy (Crockpot style)
This can be made in the oven or crock pot. This is the Crock Pot version. The crock pot version has less milk.
4-6 Pork Chops, bone in or boneless
1 can Cream Of Mushroom Soup
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
2/3 c. White wine
1/2 c. Milk
1 tsp black pepper (more or less to your desired taste)
oil
The original version I had of this recipe had bread crumbs and such, and it really was just too much work and hassle and it ended up tasting better without all the mess.I made it this way on 'accident' because I did not have any breadcrumbs.
Put 1 TBSP of oil in a fry pan and brown both sides of all your chops, placing them into a GREASED 13x9 baking dish (or two if needed, depending on your amount of chops).
While the chops are browning, mix together the soups, wine, milk and pepper. Pour this on top of the chops and continue baking for about 30 minutes.
Lay the browned pork chops in your crock pot, pour gravy on top. Heat on low for 8 hours.
This is excellent served with rice and peas.
This is my preferred method of making this recipe, the chops are very tender!
Brown on both sides
Lay in crock pot
Mix the gravy
Pour on top
Serve!
