I got one of those very big cheesecakes at Costco and also got some fresh strawberries and raspberries. Decided to look online for how to make fresh fruit topping, and all the recipes required boiling or blending which is not "fresh" the way I remembered my friend doing it years ago. So I went from memory instead, which all she did was slice the fresh fruit and sprinkle it with powdered sugar. However, not really sweet enough so I also sprinkled it with regular sugar and the results were yummy!!!

All you do is slice, sprinkle and refrigerate overnight in an airtight container. Shake it up a few times as it marinates. I would say I used about 1/8 to 1/4 cup of sugar between both types.

Now the sauce is very thin, but I like it that way.
