    Fresh deep dish peach pie

    Fresh deep dish peach pie



    1/3 cup sugar
    3 Tbsp flour
    1/4 tsp nutmeg
    6 cups peeled and thickly sliced peaches
    3 Tbsp grenadine syrup
    2 Tbsp lemon juice
    2 Tbsp butter

    1 Pie crust for top. (see mom's recipe in the breads forum)

    Combine sugar, flour & nutmeg in a large bowl.
    Add peaches and toss gently until well coated.
    Let stand 5 minutes
    Carefully stir in grenadine syrup and lemon juice
    Spoon mixture into a 10" round casserole dish that you have prepared with non stock spray.
    Dot with butter
    Roll out pie crust to cover dish. Flute edges and cut to vent.

    Bake in a preheated 375* oven for 55 to 60 minutes.

    Cool slightly before serving.
