    Apple Crisp

    4 cups sliced peeled cooking apples
    1/4 cup water
    3/4 cup flour
    1 cup sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 stick Butter
    Place apples and water in a 10 X 6-inch baking pan.
    Sift flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt into a bowl.
    Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Sprinkle over the apples.

    Bake in a moderate oven, 350 degrees for about 40 minutes
    or until the apples are tender.

    This will make 6 servings.

    This is a fast and easy recipe. Great for when company is coming and you do not have time for something more elaborate. It is real good if served with vanilla ice cream.
