Melting Pot Cheddar Cheese Fondue

Made this about 5 times now, and it really DOES taste just like the Melting Pot's cheese fondue!!! Very easy to make, just a little prep time with cutting up the dipping items (approximately 10-15 mins) but other than that it's super easy!

4 oz. beer
8 oz. cheddar cheese
1 shallot
1 minced garlic clove
2-3 dashes mustard powder
Dash of Worcestershire

*For Dipping: Broccoli, Cauliflower, Apples, French Bread and Carrots cut into bite-sized pieces.

Step 1: Pour beer into fondue pot, add shallots, mustard powder and garlic. Cook until very hot and flavors combine.

Add half of the cheese and blend until melted. Fold in other half of cheese in two more batches.

Add dash of Worcestershire sauce, blend well and serve with Dipping items.

*Note: The flavor of the cheese gets really good the longer it sits, the bottom of the pot is the BEST! Excellent copycat recipe.

Add more beer if it's too thick, add more cheese if it's too thin.

Yes we had a bit leftover and it was still yummy, not the same texture (creamy), but who cares it is cheese! Lol!!! But leftovers is rare, we had made two batches of it and only a little was left.

I'm going to edit the first post to add more beer if it's too thick, add more cheese if it's too thin.

bullmama, wanted to report back that I made this on Saturday night! and man, was it DEEEEEEEEEEELICIOUS!!!! I invited my brother over for dinner that night and he loved it. I had steamed brussel sprouts, sourdough bread chunks and mushrooms to dip into the fondue. The bottom of the fondue pot is definitely the best part. I added a few more cloves of garlic and about 3 shallots, mainly b/c i just love onions and garlic. I didn't have mustard powder so i put in about a teaspoon of Dijon.
