What Are Your Weekend Cooking Plans?
Yay, the weekend is (almost) upon us!
Hopefully that means planning some good eats around your house. So, what's the plan for this weekend?
I'm thinking seafood...I do hope to try that Fish Stick recipe with the frozen cod I purchased last weekend but didn't get around to making. AND, I really want to try the Shrimp Ceviche that cali~jenn recently posted. That one looks so summery and delicioso.
What about you guys??!

Re: What Are Your Weekend Cooking Plans?
Ooh what kind of smoker? Hubby got me one a few years ago but it intimidates me so I hardly have used it. It is one of those rectangle stand up propane ones and if I had someone tell me exactly how long, temp, etc i would be more apt to use it. Think I over smoked something once and that was the last I tried it.
I made the fish sticks and cauliflower casserole recipe last night. Mmmmm.... Am eating leftovers now for breakfast. Think for tonight I will make that Japanese chicken again since I had forgotten about it until Henny posted she made it.

You guys are making me very, very hungry right now! I'm not going to get to make the shrimp ceviche yet 'cuz i think i better eat my leftover chicken from last week before I tackle the ceviche. Right now i'm roasting beets, leeks, spring garlic, and chili peppers in the oven and going to eat that in some low carb tortillas for my lunch
I'm really hungry right now...oops, said that already!

Re: What Are Your Weekend Cooking Plans?
Ok, weekend cooking plans for this weekend are.... That Peruvian steak http://tastetestedrecipes.com/showth...h-Fry-Stir-Fry
made up and tossed in a yummy roll of some sort with cheese for a sandwich. Have been eyeing that recipe since it was posted! Then going to smoke some ribs one night and if we have a 3rd night with not enough leftovers I think I will make the fish sticks we made last week and try upping the spices some.

cali~jenn , those r some tasty plans!
I bought Roma tomatoes and limes so will make your shrimp ceviche dish. Hopefully start that today since I have to marinate overnight, I believe. I also randomly bought taco and fajita seasoning so maybe I'll experiment with those in ground beef or chicken . I want to make that jello/yogurt dessert thst i posted too.

Mmmmmmm sounds good! I also bought stuff to make a batch of terriyaki jerky for camping. I made a batch of regular spicy jerky but thought I might try a terriyaki as well. Will post both recipes soon.
