When the weather is 100 degrees out...
Do you still turn your stove/oven on and cook meals? Or, do you order out or just simply warm up leftovers?
The weather in my neck of the woods is really heating up...will be around 100's over the weekend, and I'm not planning on cooking too much. Maybe will do a crockpot dish or maybe one of the ceviche dishes which have been posted, those make for a nice, summery dish. Or maybe some good old Jello!!
What about you guys? Is it summer time weather where you are and what are you planning on cooking this coming weekend??

I like to cook what's in season , even if it means turning up the heat, central air is a must, also run the stove fan to take out any steam. I grill all year long so that's nothing special, whatever I'm in the mood for is what's for dinner

We try our best not to turn the oven on here in AZ. If I do use the crockpot (which is often since I cook for my dogs) I use it in the garage!! It's amazing how much heat it actually puts out.
So it's either things that can be fried in a reasonable amount of time on the stove, or grilled stuff, salads and such in the summer.

Re: When the weather is 100 degrees out...
Well, I have yet to figure out my weekend cooking but am planning on attempting to smoke some ribs one of the nights. We eat salads during the week to be healthy and I do try not to turn on the oven much but will if I need to. The ac is on regardless but I do try not to slave away in the hot kitchen this time of year.

Wanted to also mention that I try to use my toaster oven more than my regular oven, especially when it's so hot out. It's pretty big for a toaster oven and is also one of those "convection" ovens so cooks up the food a little more speedily which is a big plus

We almost exclusively grille... But I'm thinking about ceviche for the weekend, as we're scheduled to have a scorcher.
We used the pressure cooker last night and Dear Daughter made a roast beef that should have lasted 2-3 days of leftovers & sandwiches, but DH's son stopped by and vacuumed up all but a sandwich's worth... LOL!
A little warm today. And the pooches are lounging in Serious Mode.

I have been using the crock pot more this summer than last, and put it out on the back patio so it heats up the porch instead of the house... LOL!
