Do you have a favorite yogurt?

Do you have a favorite yogurt?

I'm a big fan of yogurt. All types of yogurt really, but lately it's been the popular Greek style yogurts. I usually get a tub of that from Trader Joe's, but I also like the Yoplait Non Fat yogurt cups--these are very light, smooth, and creamy. I've tried Dannon Greek Yogurt cups and I thought they were "okay"...thought they had a funky aftertaste though so maybe it was the sweetener they used. My most recent find is a brand called Siggi. It's an Icelandic yogurt...very thick and creamy, and not at all overly sweet as many fruit yogurts can be. They are naturally fat free and don't contain any artificial sweeteners, something I like about it. A little bit on the pricey side, they run close to $2 for a small container. Sometimes Target will have a sale of them though for around $1.50. Worth trying if you're a yogurt aficionado!

Out of all the brands I have tried my favorite is the oikos by dannon. Haven't heard of that brand but my stores don't have a huge selection. The fage is gross to me and chobani also. Have only had the 3 brands and am happy with oikos but wish they had more flavors.

I was gonna say that I like Fage too ! Lol ... Is it too thick for your liking ,perhaps? You may not like Siggi brand bc it's similar to Fage. I have yet to try Oikos but heard good things about it.

Not sure what it was I didn't care for about it. Tried it at first and haven't since. Once I found oikos I stopped trying anything else. Odd thing I noticed about the yogurts is the fruit on the bottom are less calories than the mixed varieties. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

I like the Stonyfield Farms whole milk plain yogurt. It is almost as thick and creamy as the Greek yogurts. I buy it in the large tub. I use it with fruit and in savory dishes. I can't bring myself to pay a premium for the flavored yogurts that have far too much sugar for me and are over-priced because they are popular right now. I also make my own yogurt when I remember to buy non-organic milk. It is really easy.

Believe it or not just the cheap yogurt is my favorite! Great value brand, not the light kind!

always heard good things about Stoneyfield brand. I also want to start eating the full fat kind bc I don't think I'm really experiencing "real" yogurt flavor by eating my " light" variety .

I don't use light because I think they sub ingredients that rnt healthy or natural. I think the oikos is naturally non fat, or I hope so. also as farms yogurt goes.... Before eating Greek myfav was always yoplait regular. Funny I haven't tried the yoplait Greek tho huh? Odd..... Stony field looks interesting but have yet to try it.

The Siggi's is also "naturally non-fat" but the Yoplait I buy which is the "light" variety is nonfat and has aspartame in it. I'm totally going to stop buying this stuff b/c, just like the diet sodas, it's full of chemicals which are probably not doing me any good.

I also love the Oikos Greek brand, it's nice and creamy, and I like to add my own fruit, raisins, almonds, or granola. For the fruit yogurts I like the Danone fruit yogurts, and Costco sells the Kirkland Brand which I tried and liked, and then found out Danone makes this brand. I also buy the Liberte plain unsweetened yogurt for making smoothies, and for my English Bulldogs, I put this on their kibble every morning

Oh my gosh guys, I recently have switched to whole milk and full fat dairy , and I am totally in-like with this Greek Yogurt that Trader Joe's carries that is out of this world. It's like eating a spoonful of tangy, creamy cheese...I didn't realize what I was missing with all that non-fat and sugar free nonsense! Of course, it's all done in moderation and worth every stinkin' fat gram! I also just got some Wallmart Great Value 4% cottage cheese which is also delicious!
