Re: What is the one recipe you wish everyone would try?
Well, a couple weeks ago I was "hinting" about my fabulous granola recipe! I made two huge batches since then and eat it every day--in yogurt, on top of ice cream, in pudding, plain. I love that granola!
The other one is the crockpot steel cut apple pie oatmeal...I hope you guys will try that one b/c it really is one of my favorites.
Also, the cornbread recipe I posted is so indulgent with all the butter and honey...another favorite.
And last (for now anyways), but not least, my potato salad recipe...I get a lot of requests from friends/family for that one!
So what are you doing still reading this post?! Get to cooking, will ya!!

Ok... I think my beef tinga (Rachel ray recipe, basically Mexican chili) or my Texas style chili (cooks country) the 2 are actually very similar. Also my portobello burgers. They r soooo yummy!
Henny cali baker I want to make that oatmeal, it sounds awesome. I don't have steel cut oats, could you use regular do you think? The granola I would love to make but then I would eat it. I know it is good for ou but still too many calories for my tum tum I think. Dang it! Maybe on a weekend tho.... The kids would like it I bet too! Corn bread, maybe when winter comes. Another weekend splurge.I will check out the potato salad also for our next party.

Nope, you have to use Steel Cut oats b/c the regular rolled ones will get too mushy with this recipe. So, please put that on your grocery list okay?
I promise you won't regret it! cali~jenn

The steel cut oats are a lot "heartier" tasting...if that makes sense! they have a "nuttier" consistency and for me, are much more filling. I love 'em!
