Little Chef
Well I've been cooking a lot of hard work dinners lately, and by my side during each preparation is my youngest son, Bryce.
He wants to try everything I'm doing, and has really become a big help in the kitchen! He also watched the last two episodes of Master Chef Jr. and was bummed he could not watch more. ( it's not on netflix- already checked!)
So instead I've seen him watching ladies cook on YouTube!
Sooooo, tonight he did the slap chop for all the veggies in our soup. Then he wanted to cut the shallots - I've NEVER let a 6 yo have a knife.... But he's into it! I of course helped him do it.
So I'm thinking I may have a future chef in the family.... Anytime a child chooses cooking over gaming or watching tv has got to be a wonderful thing. I'm proud of my boy, had to share.

Re: Little Chef
Well, who knows where this interest in cooking will take him? He can be the next Bobby Flay! He looks like a natural cooking with that huge stockpot and Sedona must be his sous chef?
My "little" brother, he's now 35yo, was very much like Bryce at 6yo. Always wanting to help our mom out in the kitchen and he was always running around wearing his apron. He ended up going for his BA in business and then went to NECI (New England Culinary Institute), in Vermont. He's still looking for his dream job but right now works in a BBQ joint. Keep us posted on Bryce's culinary adventures bc i see a chef in the making!
