Do you experiment?
When cooking?
Do you change recipes?
Or make up new ones?
I change them often. I've also made up a few. I try to note my changes if I share a recipe.
Today I am making something up in the crockpot.
I'm gonna call it Asian BBQ rib tips.......we will let you know the results after dinner.

Re: Do you experiment?
If I am making a recipe for the first time I try not to do too much but once I make it once I will add or change usually quite a bit. I also am not one to measure so duplicating isnt always so easy. haha

Re: Do you experiment?
I don't know when it happened but a few years ago I could taste something cooking- and I knew what ingredient it needed to balance it. Probably the two years of being pregnant in a row!!! LOL
I will alter almost every recipe I make by adding whatever I have that needs to get used up out of my veggie drawer, or a spice or something, so yes I am incredibly guilty of changing recipes.

Re: Do you experiment?
I'm not that great to be honest....pretty much follow a recipe everytime and still seem to get it wrong.
I have things which I have done for years and have perfected but new things tend to go wrong the first few times.
My eldest son still calls me "Spill and Burn" memories from his youth...I havnt gotten much better though
Hence why I havnt posted much in the way of recipes but will glean what i can from you guys to get better

Re: Do you experiment?
I could be called spill and burn at times too times. In fact I'm a VERY messy cook. I always spill something. Broke an egg getting it out of the fridge for breakfast just this morning.
Bruce carried HRH into the kitchen a little bit ago (she still won't stay in the kitchen voluntarily) he was telling her how she needed to learn to come in the kitchen when mom's cooking cause she could get all sorts of good stuff when I spill.
