Re: sandwiches?
I think my all-time favorite is the plain ol' Egg Salad sammmich.
I don't really care for eggs when fried; but I love a boiled egg... and when mixed with some dill relish, real mayo, pepper, whateverrrrrr -- Mmmmmmm!
We use those little bread "rounds" so there isn't so much bread-bread in the sandwich, toss on a leaf of Romaine...
Gahhhh, now I am craving an Egg Salad Sandwich!

Re: sandwiches?
I dont generally have a sandwich as I have gluten free bread and it is not the best, but if I do I have toasted ham, tomato and rice cheese, salt and pepper but my favourite with real bread was Prawns and avocado I most have my sandwich on a rice cake and I will have either salmon or ham and avocado, or hard boiled egg.

Re: sandwiches?
Karen's Avacado cream cheese and prawns reminds me I also Love me a good shrimp PO BOY. But it is impossible to duplicate up here in the north.
Deep fried shrimp fried in a cajun batter, diced tomatoes, lettuce and mayo (or some special cajun mayo more likely) and I think onions, on a long baguette.
I've had them in the south (in New Orleans and Mississippi) and they were AWESOME. but I have tried to order in restaurants up here (in Wisconsin and Ohio) a few times and they are never the same.Last edited by LariP; 12-08-2012 at 07:07 PM.

Re: sandwiches?
Sadly I have NEVER had a po boy. Went to New Orleans when I was young young, had no clue what I should eat while I was there, what a waste. Lol
