Re: Daily Poll: What is your favortie kind of cheese?
I picked several, so I guess I don't have an absolute favourite. I don't tolerate milk but can do fine with cheese, so I use quite a bit of cheese.

I love too many different cheeses to have one favorite. I confess, I enjoy Velveeta American cheese singles almost on a daily basis! My favorite other cheeses are Brie, Goat, Gouda, and I especially love "stinky" cheeses...the stinkier, the better!

Mmmmm. I like cheese....
I/We prefer sharper cheeses, but I am adamant that it be cheese, like a block of discernible product. Not yucky "cheese food" or "cheese product" for me.
We cheat and pick up bags of pre-shred occasionally... :shamefaced:
And there is this pasty, white, smushy Mexican cheese that I adore. It almost mozzarella-like.. A semi-soft.... cheese oaxaca.

Re: Daily Poll: What is your favortie kind of cheese?
havent tried that one. I love the Mexican cheeses I have tried tho so I bet that one is good too. I also have broken down and bought the bagged cheese.... Something I never did before but since we r trying to eat healthier and cheese is my weakness I am better at not having that home shredded yumminess on hand. Use the bagged stuff for the kids food mostly now.
sad. Lol

I chose feta because it is so versatile. I confess, I am not a big cheese eater. For me a little goes a long way. There is nothing that turns me off more than ordering food and finding it smothered with globs of cheese. I like to use cheese to "season" food, mainly to add salt. Feta on pizza or salad, yum! All cheeses have their place depending on what you are making. I just hate Brie. I like to get my cheese from the deli, it is so much more flavorful. I make my own ricotta and yogurt cheeses. I bet if I just added more salt I would get something close to feta, heh heh heh.

Re: Daily Poll: What is your favortie kind of cheese?
I don't remember why I don't like Brie, just that I did not like it. I am not a big cheese eater but I like:
feta
mozzarella
sharp cheddar
cheddar with horseradish
American from the deli
Swiss, especially Jarlsberg or Alpine Lace if light
Monterey Jack, especially with jalapeno
provolone
munster
bleu cheese
goat cheese
cream cheese
yogurt cheese, prefer plain to those with herbs
queso fresco
Didn't care for Dubliner either. Maybe I am just grossed out after watching my sister, the cheese lover eat. She likes to scoop up cheese wiz, or wispride on a knife, then press it into a bag of potato chips so that the cheese gets crusted with chips and eat it that way. Kinda gross and piggy. We may live without poetry, music and art; We may live without conscience, and live without heart; We may live without friends; we may live without books, But civilized man cannot live without cooks.
