In The Kitchen: Don't you hate it when....
You wake up and find a plate full of delicious ribs you forgot to put in the fridge the night before?
......your nice matching silverware set of 12 now only has 8 spoons? (darn kids!)
.....when your favorite dishes get chips in them?!

Oh the food one gets me. ALWAYS something yummy too. Never the one that you could live without having the next night. As for spoons, I found a whole bunch of longer teaspoons on sale somewhere so I bought them knowing that is the one thing we always run out of. hahahahaha

Re: In The Kitchen: Don't you hate it when....
I hate when I'm at the grocery store and see something that makes me hungry for a particular dish. So I buy the ingredients from memory, and invariably when I get home I find I've forgotten at least one important ingredient.

I hate it when I make a new recipe that should taste a certain way and somehow just falls a little short of expectations. lol All excited to try and then just let down a little.

I hate it when I know I have all ingredients however while making the recipe you measurements are just shy of what you need
If at first you don't succeed, do it your wife's way!

... you buy ingredients for a particular dish; but Dear Hubby uses a key ingredient in making something else! I guess I shouldn't complain because he does 90% of our cooking - but it still chaps my A$$. LOL!

Re: In The Kitchen: Don't you hate it when....
This just happened: Last night, prepped my pork leg for cooking in the slow cooker--took it out of fridge, salted it, sprinkled it w/rosemary and cumin. Plugged-in the slowcooker at 7pm last night, thinking I'll just turn it off when i wake up at 5am today. Went to turn it off this morning and wouldn't you know it??! I plugged in the wrong appliance thinking it was the slow cooker's!! It was my hand held blender. So raw pork greeted me this a.m.

I made a pot full of dog food, turned it off to let it cool before I put it in the fridge. Woke up to it sitting there in the morning! Boy was I pissed at myself!!!
