Old fashioned way for me, seems like more of a hassle to clean all the blades and stuff for the machine type things!

Old fashion way for me too. Sometimes I use my magic bullet for things like garlic but otherwise I use my good ol knife and cutting board.

Mostly old fashioned for me too. Unless I want to slice a lot of something then I have a mandolin type slicer I use from pampered chef.

I used to use just a knife but I got a small food processor for Christmas and it changed my life seriously, I was just thinking today It is the one kitchen appliance I wouldn't want to life without. We use tons of fresh veggies it makes life so much simpler. I also use it to grate cheese mix thing ect.

Old-fashioned way because it is just such a pain to clean all the parts of choppers. Plus, cutting up veggies is kind of soothing.

Wow I was actually expecting more people to say they use choppers. Glad I am not the only one

I do use the PC mandolin too for slicing , I have the chopper too, but the cup doesn't hold much, and I find the processors are hard to regulate the size.

Old fashioned way. I don't like the thought of having to clean the blades. Just thinking about it makes me tired. There's nooks and crannies in there and it would drive me nuts thinking I missed food in there somewhere.

Actually never thought to use my processor for veggies. I used to have a little chopper thing but it didnt work as easily as they want you to think so I got rid of it. The magic bullet purees everything so that is out. I do have a mandolin thing but have never actually remembered to use it.

I found a Mandolin... never had heard of one, my people are ol' farm peeps, so this new-fangled thing was a surprising discovery to ME! I use mine quite a bit, when I need to chop or mince. But for plain ol' cutting, its a board. When I married DH, he came with this cool little knifey thing that is curved and fits a fist, they're called Ulu... not sure how to describe it. I'll see if I can find a picture. But if I use the Mandolin, and then his little curved thingie, it makes easy work for finer choppings!

That's funny cuz I used to want one of those chopper things. Think they go by another name maybe cuz that doesn't sound familiar. Totally forgot about wanting one actually. Lol
