Thread: Green tomatoes

We had some early frost and now I have a ton of green tomatoes I don't know what to do with. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hmm.... Fried green tomatoes is all I have. Never made them myself but I am thinking I saw RR make a fried green tomato sandwich or something like that on her show.

Green tomato chutney, and I agree Fried Green Tomatoes. I love them!

I had someone give me a recipe for the chutney, but I have never actually made it.

I can remember pickled green tomatoes, and green tomatoe relish... those are pretty Southern things. A quick Google search came up with a few recipes; but I'm not a tom fan, so I can't really contribute!

Thanks for the suggestions! I have made fried green tomatoes with some, but there are only so many I can eat! I probably have close to 30 pounds of tomatoes! I am going to try a chutney or relish, maybe pickle some, make a salsa verde....hopefully that will utilize them all.
