So I've been experimenting with different smoothies lately and this one is a true winner. Makes me get my daily intake of fresh veggies without realizing it so that's a bonus in addition to the luscious taste.

    1/2 medium cucumber (peeled)
Frozen strawberries or blueberries (I throw in a small handful)
    1/2 small banana
1/2 cup almond milk (or soy or regular milk)
    1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves
    Water and ice cubes

Toss all of this in your blender, turn it on, and you'll be rewarded with a delicious and refreshing "milk shake".

Mmmmm.... That is similar to how I make mine although I haven't ever tried cucumber. Also, I like to use frozen spinach since you get more bang for your buck that way and frozen blueberries and strawberries. Eliminates the need for ice. if I have bananas getting old, I cut them up and freeze for smoothies too. It is amazing how you don't taste the spinach isn't it? My kids love the smoothies this way too.

Yup, that's what i do too w/the bananas. i just have to remember to peel them b4 putting them in freezer tho! Sometimes i'll add some cilantro and/or parsley into the shake as well. If you want an extra boost of protein, can add a scoop of protein powder ( I use vanilla whey protein powder from Trader Joe's).

Oh yes, always add my vanilla protein. And some flax meal too for the heck of it. Never would think of cilantro or parsley tho? I love smoothies although I have a hard time fitting it into my daily routine (calorie wise) on my diet days. Maybe a great idea for my weekends tho. Especially in this heat, sounds good!

Eh, it's not too bad. About the time you think you're getting hungry -- it's time for another smoothie! LOL!

We're splitting the recipe between the two if us because there is NO WAY we could eat it all individuality.

It's a metabolism reset. I'll find the Plan & Recipes, and post it up.

Would luv to know your smoothie recipes!

this am I made: 2 cups fresh spinach , cucumber , half a small frozen banana, small celery stock and half a scoop of vanilla whey protein powder. It was so good !!! If I added some mint I would've thought it was a shamrock shake. ( oh and a splash of almond milk and ice cubes).

It builds up negative energy and makes it difficult for us to think clearly. We then start to require wrong decisions. Cluttering also will cause sickness down the road.
