Buttermilk Ranch Salad dressing (low-fat)
I have heard so much about soybean oil being unhealthy and started reading labels-turns out soy oil is used in all salad dressings. (Or at least all the ranch type etc.) mayo all is made with that as well unless you buy the canola which isn't great either. SO I decided to make my own dressing to try and be healthier all around. I just made this recipe and it is REALLY good! Comes out to 30 calories per 2 Tbsp. compared to 80 calories for the same serving of store bought light versions. This doesn't taste light at all either.
1 1/3 Cup reduced fat buttermilk
1 1/3 Cup low fat sour cream
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. fresh chives (I used about 3/4 tsp of dry)
2 tsp. fresh dill (I also used the 3/4 tsp of dry)
2 tsp. Fresh parsley
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
