Goulash (Ohio style)
The website I pulled the recipe from called this Hillbilly Dinner.
Growing up we always called it Goulash.
Ingredients
Makes 6 servings (Increase/Decrease).
Preparation time is 20 min
½ cup · uncooked elbow macaroni
1 ½ pound · ground beef
1 teaspoon · garlic powder
1 · (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 cup · stewed, diced tomatoes
1 · (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 · salt & pepper to taste
1 · chopped, onion
Directions
1 Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
2 Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
3 In a large skillet over medium heat, saute the ground beef for 5 minutes.
4 Add the onion and saute for 5 to 10 more minutes.
5 Season with garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.
6 Add the tomato sauce, stewed or diced tomatoes, corn and cooked macaroni. Stir well and allow to heat through, about 5 to 7 minutes.

Looks like a great, comfort food kind of recipe too.

We use to get served this in school, minus the corn. I love goulash , you just made me hungry for it again.

Re: Goulash (Ohio style)
This was a common dinner at our house minus the corn and onions b/c my dad won't eat onions, not sure why not the corn! It was cheap so it was made often, I haven't ate it since i've been away from home!! Looks yummy but i guess to many meals have ruined the taste for me!!

Don't think I have had this version ofgoulash. My mil makes a diff version that I think would be more considered a sheppards pie. Haven't posted that recipe yet I don't think.... Hmmm.....

Sounds easy enough, gonna try. My family are big eaters. I’m always looking for big pot recipes.
