Tabasco "Git R Done" Spicy Chicken Tenders (Larry the Cable Guy)
Found some "Larry the Cable Guy" spicy chicken batter at the 99 cent store (along with other Larry mixes- all good stuff!)
We actually liked it a lot, especially because my kids really like spicy foods. We have tweeked it a bit to come up with our very own recipe, and it is one of my kids favorite meals each month!
Larry the Cable Guy Spicy Chicken Batter
Ingredients:
20-25 chicken breast tenderloins
1 box Larry the Cable Guy spicy chicken batter
Crisco
Milk
Tabasco
Step one: soak your chicken in a light coat of milk with plenty of dashes of Tabasco sauce to your desire. We use quite a bit. Marinate for at least an hour. Sprinkle with salt and pepper if desired.
Toss the box of Larry batter in a ziploc bag. Heavily coat each piece chicken with batter by placing them in the bag, closing it, and tossing it back and forth. You can easily do this with about 4-5 pieces at a time. Lay them out on a cookie sheet to 'set' before frying.
Heat up a skillet with about 1/2 inch of melted crisco. Fry chicken about 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
I did not take pictures of the chicken when it was done
I usually make french fries or tater tots with this since I already have the oil. Seasoned potato wedges are super good!Last edited by bullmama; 04-25-2015 at 01:40 PM.
