Oven Baked Pork Chops with White Wine Gravy

This can be made in the oven or crock pot. This is the OVEN version. The crock pot version has less milk.

4-6 Pork Chops, bone in or boneless
1 can Cream Of Mushroom Soup
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
    2/3 c. White wine
    1 c. Milk
1 tsp black pepper (more or less to your desired taste)

The original version I had of this recipe had bread crumbs and such, and it really was just too much work and hassle and it ended up tasting better without all the mess. I made it this way on 'accident' because I did not have any breadcrumbs.

Put 1 TBSP of oil in a fry pan and brown both sides of all your chops, placing them into a GREASED 13x9 baking dish (or two if needed, depending on your amount of chops).

Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

While the chops are baking, mix together the soups, wine, milk and pepper. Pour this on top of the chops and continue baking for about 30 minutes.

This is excellent served with rice and peas.

    Brown on both sides

Mix the gravy & Pour on top

Ooh that does sound good but my husband does NOT like pork chops. Maybe if I tried them this way.....

I make po chops this way all the time BUT I would have never thought of adding white wine to it. Made it with the wine tonight for dinner and the wine DID make it that much better. Thanx for the recipe.
