Sweet and Sour Ribs
Use 3 to 4 lbs. of boneless country style pork ribs, 1" thick X 4" long. Trim off as much fat as possible OR slice a boneless pork roast OR slice boneless loin chops. Brown ribs. Season with salt & pepper and/or your favorite meat seasoning. If using the country ribs bake @350 degree oven for 45 minutes then pour off fat. If using loin roast or chops bake @325, no need to pour off fat.
Sauce: In a quart container with a lid start with 1/2 cup vinegar, add 1/2 cup brown sugar and shake so sugar disolves; add 1 small can crushed pineapple with juice, 1/2 cup catsup, 2 cloves crushed garlic. Shake well.
Pour sauce over ribs and cook until done, another 30 to 45 minutes!
Note: If the meat is extra lean cut it in 1" X 2" chunks. You can also drop the oven temp to 300 to insure tenderness!Last edited by LariP; 01-19-2013 at 05:56 PM.
