Fried Rice
Cook 1 cup 1 cup long grain rice
In wok or frypan cook 2 strips of bacon. Cut cooked bacon in to small pieces.
Add cooked rice to bacon greese (I use lean bacon so I add some olive oil).
Cook a few minutes add bacon pieces. Push rice to edges of pan forming a circle in the center. Add 2 eggs & scramble them, salt and pepper eggs. Mix cooked eggs with rice and bacon. Add soy sauce to taste. Add 3 chopped green onions and a package of fresh bean sprouts. Cook and stir a couple of minutes.
Other veggies may be added at the end like broccoli, cuke, tomato, peas in the pod, etc.Last edited by LariP; 01-19-2013 at 07:16 PM.

Re: Fried Rice
I made this last night and it was SOOO good! It was easily as good as any fried rice I've had at restaurants. The only thing I did differently was instead of bean sprouts (not a fan of them) I used some frozen peas & carrots. I've seen peas and carrots in fried rice many times so it just seemed like an appropriate substitute.
