Cold Weather Tuxedo Beans & Conbread
Chunk of ham, hock, whatever (used leftover Honey-Baked from last Christmas)
About 3 c. of Navy beans, and frijoles negros
.5 c barely
1 can of Rotel
3-4 cloves garlic
Pepper to taste
3-4 c chicken stock (I was out, used water)
Crockpot about 6 hours. My beans were dry.

Cornbread was a bag, made to directions with about 2/3-3/4 c frozen corn mixed in.
Pour into a cast iron skillet, pre-heated with about a T if butter brought to sizzle before adding batter.

Hubby requires cheese and sour cream on everything. I play along because its sinfully good that way...
