    Grammy's Fried Green Beans

2 cans cut or whole green beans (fresh or frozen will also work nicely)
    1 medium onion, chopped
1 (12 oz) package of bacon
garlic salt and pepper to taste.

1 Cut up bacon into 1 inch by 1/2 inch pieces with a pair of scissors. Cook bacon to desired crispness, continually separating bacon and stirring often.

2 Add onion to bacon, cook for about 10 minutes or until onions are tender.

3 Add cans of green beans, stir well. Sprinkle green beans with garlic salt and pepper to desired taste. They will taste more salty after sitting, so don't overdue it! Best to add more after if unsure.

    Re: Grammy's Fried Green Beans

I make this every year on Thanksgiving instead of the traditional green bean cassorole. Why? Cuz that is how I roll! LOL

Mainly because it just became a staple with the dinner, Grammy Sally usually made this because we all wanted it and love it. Now, it's tradition.

Ooh sounds good. Bet fresh green beans would be yummy this way too.
