Ingredients:

2/3 cup corn meal
1 cup flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
6 -8 jumbo franks


Put franks in saucepan; cover with cold water. Set heat on low and let come to a boil. Rinse. Drain on paper towels.

Sift dry ingredients together. Add egg and milk; beat well. Dip franks in batter (I use toothpicks to take franks out of batter). Drop into hot oil. Cook until brown.
