Apple Pie Bites
A family Favorite:
Apple Pie Bites
1 tube Crescent rolls
1 Slice apple per triangle
Sprinkle heavily with cinnamon & sugar (I used white sugar but I think brown sugar would be good too)
Roll up & Bake for 11-13 minutes at 350 degrees.
Delicious!
Next time I make these I will peel the apples before wedging.
You can see in the pictures that I cut the wedges lengthwise and inverted them on each other. This was a big apple and the wedges were fat. I was concerned they wouldn't cook enough in 13 minutes. They came out good but were "just" done so I think too fat on the wedges could be an issue. And like I said, next time I make they will be peeled too. Just a personal texture preference for us. although they were good even with the peeling.Last edited by LariP; 12-30-2012 at 03:03 PM.

Re: Apple Pie Bites
Variation: stick a slice of cream cheese in on top of the apple. Bake a little longer (23 to 25 minutes)
YUMMMMM

Made these today. Yes peeled would be better. Also had left over rolls so I rolled up sliced turkey with cheese
