My Favorite Taco Meat
After years of trying different stuff and seasonings to make tacos, none of which made me go "oh my these are delicious!!", I found a seasoning last year that DOES!
Taco night was just taco night. Blah. Nothing special. Not anymore, I love having tacos now!
2lb ground chuck
3 cups water
6 packets of Goya Sazon
Cook hamburger in 2 cups water, grinding it up into smaller pieces as it 'boils' with your spatula. Drain off fat. Add another 1 cup water and continue working to hamburger into tiny pieces. Add the Goya seasoning and cook until most of liquid has evaporated, continuously working the meat.
Serve on hard taco shells with your favorite toppings.
This is the Goya Sazon I use.

Re: My Favorite Taco Meat
Ahhh. One of the benefits of marrying an hispanic. Goya Sazon. We use that on anything and everything. They also have varieties without the annatto or as they call it achiote (red coloring). There are also other brands. Just so you know, it also has MSG in it. Great stuff!
We may live without poetry, music and art; We may live without conscience, and live without heart; We may live without friends; we may live without books, But civilized man cannot live without cooks.
