Roasted Mesquite Grilled Sweet Corn on the Cob -- Best corn EVER!
We love corn on the cob, who doesn't? It's corn season so get your grill ready!
For this particular grilling, we used mesquite, which really gave the corn a delicious flavor.
First, peel back your corn husks far enough to remove the corn silk, then recover the corn. Soak your corn at least 1 hour in water.
Some people will then peel them back to season them with some spices or load them with butter, but I truly believe this takes away from the awesome flavor of the corn! Butter it when it's on your plate later, and let the natural flavor come through!
Peel back husk and remove silk
recover the corn with the husk
Soak in water at least 1 hour
Grill on low with very hot coals for about an hour, turning corn halfway through. The outside should have a nice char (and hopefully a light char on the inside too)

Can you do this on a gas grill? that is what we use. ?? I don't eat corn, it does not agree with me, but it is by far joe's most favorite. He could eat it every night. Our corn "season" is happening right now in FL.

Sure you can! As a matter fact that's how we did it the last time we made it. Chip just put a lump of mesquite charcoal on top of the grill where he cooks the corn, not on the flame, so that we could still get a little of that mesquite smoked flavor.
