Cheesy Bean Dip
Made this over the weekend and was VERY good. Served over burritos or as a nacho or just to dip, was good all around.
You will need a 1-1/2 quart slow cooker for this, to kick up the heat add in some canned chopped jalapeno peppers and/or some cayenne pepper
Yield about 4-1/2 cups
INGREDIENTS:
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
pinch garlic powder, optional
1 cup picante sauce (spicy or mild)
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup sour cream
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, very soft
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Tortilla chips and salsa
INSTRUCTIONS:——————————————-
In a large bowl, combine the first 9 ingredients; transfer to a 1-1/2-qt. slow cooker.
Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or until heated through, stirring once or twice (you may want to adjust the chili powder and cumin).
Serve with tortilla chips and salsa. .Last edited by bullmama; 01-26-2014 at 03:00 PM.
