Hummus Recipe from the Middle East in 1969... :)

    From my Mother:

Here is the hummus recipe I have always used.
1 cup garbanzo beans 1/2 cup lime juice
    1 clove garlic Olive oil
1 tsp salt 2 Tablespoon water
    6 Tablespoon Tahini Paprika
Place drained beans, lime juice, Tahini, garlic and salt into blender - blend until smooth. If too thick, add water, one Tablespoon at a time. Spread in shallow dish. Pour olive oil over Hummus. Sprinkle paprika on top - it's just to make it look pretty.

    For Cali Baker.

It's not a South Texas "staple," so I had to find mine in a Specialty Food Store.
