Modified Version: Best Dill Dip EVER!

I received LOTS of fresh dill the other day in my Veggie Delivery... so I was scouting around for something to do with it all!

I found this recipe (Copied verbatim, with all of her personality! ) and it sounds tasty! May have to whip some up & post back the result! I'll be using fresh dill, dried parsley, and may substitute the mayo with yogurt... and probably will add some smokey chipotle dust to it.

Of course this is best with fresh dill and parsley, but you can use dried in a pinch. Use 1-1/2 tablespoons dried dill, and for parsley use 1/2 a tablespoon.

    prep: 10 minutes
to table: 40 minutes (let it chill, the longer the better)
    servings: 16

    • 1 cup sour cream
      1 cup mayonnaise
      1-1/2 tablespoons minced onion
      1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1-1/2 tablespoons fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped finely
4-1/2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped finely
In a medium bowl, stir together the sour cream, mayonnaise, onion, seasoned salt, parsley, and dill. Mix well. Chill at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to mingle.

So, I skipped Mayo, using only Sour Cream. No salt. No parsley.

About 2t of Fire Roasted Chili
Several shakes of Frank's Red Hot Sauce

    The un-developed flavor is FABULOUS!

Creamy sour cream. Smokey chili. Cool dill. Zingy Frank's.

Oh. My. Gawsh! It was soooo tasty!

So, here's what I ended up with:

    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1 t onion powder
    • 1 fire roasted chili powder (smokey chipotle dust stuff)
    • 4-1/2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped finely
    • Several generous shakes of Frank's Red Hot Sauce
In a medium bowl, stir together the sour cream, onion, chili powder, Frank's, and dill. Mix well. Chill at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to mingle.

I had to edit the Title... that was killin' me to see no Capitalization and the Spelling! I know the article was written with all sorts of little "personalities" to it; but that was too much for me.

    LOL!
