Homemade Mosquito Repellent
Combine in a 16 oz bottle:
15 drops lavender oil
3-4 Tbsp of vanilla extract
10 drops of citronella oil
1/4 Cup lemon juice.
Fill bottle with water.
Shake & it's ready to use.
Spray on yourself.
(You can also use 10 drops of lemon eucalyptus oil instead of citronella oil.)
Note: I have not yet "taste tested" this recipe; but it comes from a reliable source. I will "taste test" it shortly...
Since our May Flies come out in February, and the June Bugs are already coming in March... I'm thinkin' that it won't be long before the State Bird of Texas -- the Mosquito -- will be swarming!

Thanks Traci! I just noticed this big mosquito in my house a few days ago. I'm going to need to try this recipe out!

Re: Homemade Mosquito Repellent
This would have been helpful when I was camping last weekend. Do you know how long it keeps before going bad?
