Buttery and Spicy Butter Beans
I don't know why?
But everyone in my family LOVES these. They go really good with STEAK!
1 can Bush's Large Butter Beans
1 stick of salted butter
2 TBSP Texas Pete Hot Sauce (or similar-- red devil works but not as good!)
Dump ENTIRE contents of beans into a saucepan, the stick of butter and the hot sauce. Bring to a hard boil, stir.
Reduce heat to low--- it should still bubble --- COVER and cook stirring frequently for about 20-30 minutes. If it is not bubbling increase heat a bit.
*IF* the butter separates from the beans put a splash of cool water in and stir. The sauce should be more of a gravy consistency, not greasy.
Dip your steak in with the bean sauce while eating together, DELICIOUS and definitely an acquired taste!
From my good pal Ibis!
