Skillet Cranberries
Great for the holiday!
1 lb (bag) fresh cranberries
2C brown sugar
1/4C rum.....
Place cranberries in an iron skillet, sprinkle the sugar over the berries. Cook covered at 250 for 1 hour. Pour in rum and cook uncovered until liquid evaporates.
Don't stir unless absolutely necessary.
Serve hot.Last edited by LariP; 01-19-2013 at 09:08 PM.

Re: Skillet Cranberries
Can you use a regular pan if you don't have an iron skillet?

I don't see why you can't use a casserole pan. You will want it big enough for just a single layer of berries.
If at first you don't succeed, do it your wife's way!
