Roasted broccoli
Roasted Broccoli
I have done this with cauliflower and now broccoli. Omg sooo good!! The browner the pieces, the nuttier the flavor. I actually prefer the tiny ones that get over cooked. A must try! Have done this topped with parm cheese and lemon too.
Ingredients
Broccoli, fresh, 4 cup,
Olive Oil, .25 cup
Chili powder, 1 tbsp
Garlic, 4 tsp
Salt, 1 tsp
Directions
Mix together the olive oil, chili powder, garlic and salt in a bowl. Add the broccoli and toss to coat.
Place on a cookie sheet and roast for 20 - 30 minutes at 425 degrees. Broccoli should be browned and sizzling. It can be flipped halfway through cooking, but not necessary.
Number of Servings: 4

Sounds so good. And you know, this may sound good with my much un-favorite Brussels sprouts. I may have to try that. Thanks for the recipe.

Re: Roasted broccoli
I am thinking ANY vegetable roasted willbe better. Lol have done green beans too and they are awesome. I never have tried fresh Brussels sprouts since hubby won't eat them. I love the frozen ones in butter sauce so I am sure I would LOVE them fresh roasted. One day I will buy them for the heck of it.

Re: Roasted broccoli
I prefer everything roasted. I make something similar with cauliflower, red onions, and green beans (actually I obsessed with this combo and was making it like every other day). I am lately not liking broccoli so much unless it is raw. I will have to try this. I think I will like the nutty browned bits also.

Other win for the Brussels sprouts. I think I will officially only eat them when they are prepared this way.
