KFC coleslaw
This is an imitation of course but so easy and turns out very good. The key is to chop the cabbage up small like a piece of rice and let it set overnight at least for the spiciness of the cabbage to incorporate with the rest of the ingredients. I use the prepackaged cole slaw mix then chop it up smaller.
Ingredients:
1 cup Miracle Whip
1/4 cup sugar
8 cups cabbage, finely minced
1/4 cup carrot, shredded then minced
2 tablespoons minced onions
Directions:
1 Combine miracle whip with sugar in a large bowl.
2 Mix well with electric beater until sugar is dissolved.
3 Add cabbage, carrot and onion mixture and toss well. (be sure the cabbage and carrot are chopped into very small pieces, about the size of rice.)
4 Cover and chill at least 2 hours, preferably over night, before serving.Last edited by bullmama; 01-22-2014 at 09:37 PM.

Re: KFC coleslaw
Can't wait to try this. My oldest son LOVES coleslaw from KFC. When he was in Kindergarten he asked to take the "good salad" to school for snack. I asked him what the "good salad" was and he told me "you know that salad at the chicken place" So we went out and got a small container from KFC the night before and he took it to school.
If at first you don't succeed, do it your wife's way!

Re: KFC coleslaw
I have to admit, the KFC coleslaw is one of THE best recipes! I've tried making it myself but didn't chop up the cabbage real small like u mentioned so I'll have to try it that way next time.
