Something I love to eat! To me Brussel sprouts are pretty boring when they're served boiled. So, I decided to fry up some instead.

Take 1/2 lb Brussel Sprouts (plus or minus)
wash, cut in half long-wise, peel away outer leaves.

Place sprouts in a hot pan with 2 tablespoons olive oil (again, eyeball this...i don't really measure). Fry until sprouts get a little crisp, even a bit charred is good

Throw in some thinly sliced garlic-I used about 4 cloves only b/c i love garlic, so use your judgement. Continue to pan fry for a couple more minutes, then squirt in half a lemon, some Kosher salt, and voila...delicious Brussel Sprouts! I'm eating for lunch right now...YUM YUM!

They're really good, Traci. When i eat them I don't feel so guilt ridden since they're so "good" for you. Use less O.oil and they'll be even healthier. I love the carmelization and the acidity from the lemon juice.

I may have to try this. I don't like Brussels sprouts, but will eat them because I know they are good for you. If this makes them taste better, I will eat them more. My hubby loves them. I actually steamed them last time I made them and then soaked them in some lemon juice for a few minutes.

Sadly I have only ever had the green giant sprouts. Love them but hubby doesn't so I haven't bothered to try fresh yet. Someday....

Tried. Loved. I think I'll eat them only when they are cooked like this. Hubby loved them, of course.

I just had some baby Brussels Sprouts delivered; I will need to try this... maybe coconut oil (my latest fave) and one of those lovely Meyers Lemons!

Think I will try throwing the rest in the oven tonight and roast them that way. Probably will be the same result really but will see.

I don't like Brussels sprouts but will eat them I have nothing to compare it to but Add Brussels sprouts to the skillet and cook without stirring until the undersides of the sprouts turn golden brown. Keep up the good work.

    Thanks!
