Ingredients
• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
• 1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
• 1 cup shredded cabbage
• 1 cup shredded carrots
• 1/2 cup sliced water chestnuts
• 1/2 cup toasted almonds
• 1/4 cup crispy wonton strips
• 1/4 cup mandarin orange segments
• 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
• 1/4 cup Applebee’s Oriental Dressing (or your favorite Asian-inspired dressing)
Instructions
• Step 1: Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then grill for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes, then slice or shred it into bite-sized pieces.
• Step 2: In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, sliced water chestnuts, toasted almonds, crispy wonton strips, mandarin orange segments, and sesame seeds.
• Step 3: Add the grilled chicken to the salad and drizzle the Applebee’s Oriental Dressing (or your favorite Asian-inspired dressing) over the top. Gently toss the salad to ensure all the ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.
• Step 4: Serve the Applebee’s Orientalist Chicken Salad immediately, garnished with additional mandarin orange segments, toasted almonds, and sesame seeds, if desired.
