Ingredients

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
• 3 large eggs
• 1 cup Baileys Irish Cream
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

• Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
• Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
• Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
• Step 4: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
• Step 5: Gradually add the Baileys Irish Cream and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until well combined.
• Step 6: Slowly add the dry ingredients from Step 2 to the wet ingredients, mixing just until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. Be careful not to overmix.
• Step 7: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
• Step 8: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting.
