Ingredients
• 1 pound boudin sausage, casings removed
• 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
• 2 tablespoons diced pickled jalapeños (optional)
• 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
• Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
• Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
• Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the boudin sausage over medium heat, breaking it up into small crumbles, until it’s fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat and set the cooked boudin aside to cool slightly.
• Step 3: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, shredded Cheddar cheese, diced pickled jalapeños (if using), Creole seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix until the ingredients are well incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
• Step 4: Gently fold the cooked boudin sausage into the cream cheese mixture until evenly distributed.
• Step 5: Transfer the boudin dip to a baking dish or oven-safe serving dish. Smooth the top with a spatula.
• Step 6: Bake the dip in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until it’s heated through and bubbly around the edges.
• Step 7: Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
