Ingredients
• 1 pound (454g) dry pasta, such as penne or fusilli
• 1 (5.2 ounce/150g) package Boursin cheese, garlic and herb flavor
• 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
• 1/2 cup (120ml) grated parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
• 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon (5ml) dried parsley
• 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) garlic powder
• 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) ground black pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) salt, or to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions, typically 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet or saucepan, combine the Boursin cheese and heavy cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the Finishing Touches: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the grated parmesan cheese, lemon juice, dried parsley, garlic powder, and black pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt as needed.
- Toss the Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and gently toss to coat the noodles evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is heated through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
