Crowd-Pleasing Boursin Cheese Pasta Recipe

  • Author: Elizabeth
  • Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

• 1 pound (454g) dry pasta, such as penne or fusilli
• 1 (5.2 ounce/150g) package Boursin cheese, garlic and herb flavor
• 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
• 1/2 cup (120ml) grated parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
• 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon (5ml) dried parsley
• 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) garlic powder
• 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) ground black pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) salt, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions, typically 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet or saucepan, combine the Boursin cheese and heavy cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the Finishing Touches: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the grated parmesan cheese, lemon juice, dried parsley, garlic powder, and black pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt as needed.
  4. Toss the Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and gently toss to coat the noodles evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is heated through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
