Ingredients
• 1 pound ground chicken
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon grated ginger
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
• 1 teaspoon sesame oil
• 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
• 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
• 1 package gyoza or wonton wrappers
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for pan-frying
Instructions
• Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and white pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
• Step 2: Add the chopped green onions to the chicken mixture and stir to incorporate.
• Step 3: Place a gyoza or wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Scoop about 1-2 tablespoons of the chicken filling onto the center of the wrapper.
• Step 4: Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold the wrapper in half and press the edges to seal, creating a half-moon shape.
• Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 with the remaining wrappers and filling until all the ingredients are used up.
• Step 6: In a large non-stick skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Working in batches, place the gyoza in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the bottoms are golden brown.
• Step 7: Add 1/4 cup of water to the pan, cover, and steam the gyoza for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the filling is cooked through.
• Step 8: Serve the chicken gyoza warm, with your desired dipping sauce on the side.
